America’s Top 10 Most-Searched Neighborhoods in 2014admin / 0 Comments /
The common denominator among America’s most-searched neighborhoods in 2014 is a sign that the housing market is poised for recovery next year. That is the conclusion Realtor.com is drawing in a new article this week. Although the ZIP codes vary greatly in geography, they have some interesting economic commonalities. The median price for the most-searched homes is $400,000—that’s twice the national average of $214,000. Seven out of 10 of the most-searched neighborhoods are also in markets where it is cheaper to own than it is to rent. Chicago’s tony 60646 neighborhood, where the median home price is $398,000, came in number nine on the list.
